
What is J-Standard Soldering?
J-Standard is a standard issued by IPC for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.
The certification defines how electronic assemblies inclusive of wires and terminals should be built.
This certification is taught through Maricopa Community Colleges Mesa Campus
“The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in J-STD Soldering Certification will prepare the successful student to receive the “Certified IPC Specialist” (CIS) certification from The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits.”
What will this class do for you?
This certification will help you gain the expertise needed to:
- Explain IPC J-STD-001 Professional Policies, Procedures and General Requirements.
- Demonstrate assembly of soldered components per J-STD requirements.
- Evaluate assemblies for acceptance/reject decisions.
- Give you the certification needed to get jobs in Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Assemblers, Except Coil Winders, Tapers, and Finishers
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
